Our mould cleaning process is specially designed to get rid of mould and mould spores. We remove the visible mould from your walls and ceiling, but we also target the hidden mould that is growing in the building materials. We even kill mould spores in the air, though anti-microbial misting. All this means that our one-day treatment is effective for a full 12 months!
STEP 1 - INSPECTION
Book an inspection so we can identify the extent of the affected area, and determine what work is required. We’ll talk over treatment options with you, and provide you with a quote.
STEP 2 - MOISTURE IS CHECKED
Next, we check the moisture in the mould-affected areas. This will help us to identify what is causing the mould problem.
STEP 3 - ANTI-MICROBIAL MOULD TREATMENT
Then, we treat active mould using Goldmorr cleaning solutions. These solutions trace moisture into the building materials, killing the hidden mould growth as well as external, visible mould.
STEP 4 - REMOVAL OF MOULD
We remove mould and mould stains.
STEP 5 - ANTI-MICROBIAL MISTING
Last, we mist the house using an anti-microbial solution, killing air-borne mould spores and stopping them from re-infecting the building. This step is necessary to receive the 12-month warranty.
We guarantee that our mould removal will be effective for 12 months*. If mould growth returns within that time, contact us and we will retreat the affected area for free.
If you frequently feel out of breath, tired, and have symptoms such as a runny nose and itchy eyes, mould may be affecting your health. Many types of mould contain mycotoxins which are poisonous to humans, and many other non-poisonous moulds still cause allergic reactions. This is why mould isn’t just an issue of aesthetics, it’s also a health hazard. If you can see visible mould in your home you can be confident that there is much more hidden below the surface requiring effective treatment.
Have you bought expensive mould cleaning products, only to find the mould quickly returned? There’s a reason for this: most off-the-shelf mould cleaners don’t kill or remove mould, they just bleach the colour out of it, making it invisible. These cleaners also don’t target mould growing in the walls or building materials, so the mould quickly recolonises your home.
The Electrodry system is different. We trace mould to its source and kill all visible, hidden and air-borne mould.
The standard cost for a room with medium levels of contamination is $300. If a room has light or spotty contamination it may cost less, and if a room is very heavily contaminated it will cost more. When you have a mould remediation technician inspects the room and does a consultation they will be able to give you a quote for the work to be done.
Pricing may vary depending on a few factors, including size, contamination levels and the type of material the mould is growing on. Timber, brick and gyprock all present different challenges for mould removal. The cost of anti-microbial misting costs will vary according to the size of the house. The minimum charge for a job is $300, because of the level of preparation, chemical and personal protective equipment required for any job regardless of size.
*Pricing is determined at the time of inspection and is based on the surface area affected, the level of contamination and the building material e.g. brick, gyprock or timber. The costs of anti-microbial misting vary depending on the size of the house.
