RESTORATION PROCESS
Thorough Pre-Inspection
A thorough pre-inspection will be carried out to determine the extent of the damage. Our moisture measuring equipment will be able to accurately measure the extent of the affected area, including the extent to which the water has spread under the carpet as well as measuring any moisture in walls or other hard surfaces that may be affected by water.
Make Safe
After the pre-inspection we will determine if the carpet can be restored. If the carpet cannot be restored we will undertake a make safe, establishing the cause of the loss and making the property safe for habitation.
Water Extraction and Drying
We will extract the water from the carpet and, if required, remove the underlay from the carpet to enable rapid drying. We will then apply an anti-microbial agent to inhibit mould and bacterial growth ensuring your home will be safe for you and your family. Drying equipment including high speed lineal fans and dehumidifying machines will be installed to ensure rapid drying of the carpet and the building structure. In most cases the carpet and building structure will be dry in 48 to 72 hours.
Reinstatement
Your carpet will be relayed, with new underlay if necessary. We will clean and sanitise your carpet ensuring that it is cleaner and healthier than before the damage first occurred.
