We can paint walls and change furniture to give the room a different look and feel, but changing the floor is so much harder.
Ever considered changing the colour of your tile grout?
Changing the colour of your grout from grey to white or a rusty red can give your home a totally different look and feel. On the other hand, you may have started out with white grout and it now looks grey after years of wear. In the past there was only one remedy for this situation, and that was to remove the existing grout and re-grout. Did you know Electrodry offers a re-colouring service? Choose the colour you would like your grout to be, and the process can be completed quickly and easily, with just a fraction of the stress of re-grouting the floor.
What does grout re-colouring involve?
Grout re-colouring involves applying a stain to the grout in the desired tone, but it’s important to have the tiles and grout thoroughly cleaned prior to applying the stain. The grout re-colouring process is permanent, and also provides an excellent seal to guard against further discoloration. Grout is porous, and the heavy soiled grout we see in areas like the kitchen may darken the colourant applied to the grout. As the colouring process seals the grout, it’s important to remove the soiling before it is locked into the grout by the colourant. A thorough grout clean should be done before starting the colouring process, so ask your local Electrodry guy for a complete clean.
