ELECTRODRY'S COMMITMENT TO QUALITYElectro-Shield is a sanitising product that kills 99.9% of bacteria and a broad spectrum of germs and other nasties. It is residually active, meaning it will continue to sanitise your lounge from its application until it is worn down with use. This is important because other sanitising agents lose effectiveness within minutes or seconds from application.
Electro-Shield’s long-lasting sanitising action is due to its active ingredient, which binds to the fibres in your lounge to provide protection against a broad spectrum of bacteria and other micro-organisms.
Electro-Shield will remain effective on carpets and lounges for up to 4 months from application, however we recommend re-application every 2 months in commercial premises.
We’ll tailor our process and which products we use to each individual job – our professional technicians know not all fabrics are the same, so how we clean them should be different too.
These fabrics can be very delicate, and being white, they are very susceptible to watermarks or browning. Because of this, we don’t use hot water extraction on white cottons and linens. Instead, we use our specially-developed dry cleaning solution to dissolve body oils and stains, and get rid of dirt without using water. This process performed by hand is sometimes less effective than hot water extraction, but it is necessary to avoid watermarking.

These fabrics can be treated with hot water extraction, which involves injecting heated water into the upholstery, and then extracting back out the water and dirt, using a powerful vacuum. On patterned natural fabrics we still need to be careful to avoid watermarking or dye migration. To this end, the fabric is first treated with a dry cleaning solution to break down oils that hold dirt to the material. Next we apply a pre-spray that conditions the fabric to stabilise colours and avoid browning. Then, your couch is treated with a neutralising cleaning solution infused with Healthguard, killing bacteria and mould spores. Last, we do a hot water extraction clean to rinse it all out.
